The world is upside down.
We fell into mirrors glued on the ceiling
With dreams and nightmares
So normal they lost their magic.
The morning shine of sun on my eyes
Has dulled and dirtied
Coffee seems slow
The ties in my mind were shaved
And inside, my skull shines clean
Clanking as a beer bottle in the morning.
A canyon instead of the breath of a breeze,
Steady, calm, and still.
With the electricity inside of me
Temporarily blacked out.
I run my hands over the walls
Looking for an “on” switch.
The clock went off a dream and a half ago,
What the hell did I wake up to?
